Owner and Founder

Brysen Bocchino, CMHC (He/Him)

I graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2019 with a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My areas of specialty include suicidality/crisis counseling, mood disorders (bipolar, depression, etc.), anxiety, grief, personality disorders, and faith transitions/religious trauma. Additionally, I am particularly passionate about working with clients who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community, as I myself am part of this community.

I believe in a holistic approach to therapy, and I do my best to ensure that treatment is tailored specifically to each client. I do not follow a “one-size-fits-all” approach. I work with individuals ages 18 and up. As a therapist, I emphasize the therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist; I believe that this the foundation and key to successful therapy.

Starting therapy can feel like a scary, daunting, or even embarrassing thing, but I believe that therapy is something that anyone can benefit from—regardless of how big or small you might feel your problems are. I am here to help!

Ayla Storm, CMHC-I (She/Her)

I am currently completing my clinical internship with Luminous Counseling and will be graduating in 2024 with my masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University. I value connection and emphasize building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients. I also recognize that every individual differs in their lived-experiences and has unique needs in therapy. Therefore, my therapeutic approach is always tailored from client-to-client.

My clinical interests include trauma (especially childhood trauma), relationship issues, divorce, and LGBTQ+ topics. I work with individuals and couples, and I see anyone ages 12 and up.

I see clients as the experts of their own life, and I believe that everyone deserves autonomy in their healing process. You deserve to fully accept yourself unconditionally— even as you work towards change and encounter things that may make it difficult to do so. I look forward to helping you learn how to overcome life’s hurdles and enable you to be the best version of yourself!

Jonathan Schneider, CMHC-I (He/Him)

I am in the final semester of my masters program for Clinical Mental Health Counseling with Adams State University. Therapy with me is always intended to be a safe space for self-exploration. I encourage vulnerability and authenticity, so that each client can embrace their true self.

My clinical interests include substance use, depression, anxiety, and LGBTQ+ equity. I work with individuals ages 12 and older.

Therapy is at its core, work. The success you can expect from therapy with me is exactly what you want to put into it. As my favorite author says, “The hardest part isn’t the first step, it’s the next step.” Therapy can be intimidating, but it is my job to help guide you to the person you have always wanted to become.
